I've been a Supremes fan for several years and have recently become a member of the International Mary Wilson Fan Club. I have a semi-complete collection of Supremes albums (including an autographed copy of "Return of the Magnificent 7")and CD's. Jean Terrell brought a breath of fresh air to the group, and I believe the Supremes songs of the 70's are far more artistic than any produced during the 60's. I find it disheartening to know that MANY people only know the Supremes as 3 black girls that sing "Stop! In the Name of Love" and think the group disbanded after Diane left. Oh well, true fans are true fans. I've always wondered what the girls were saying in a few of their songs, and now I've been enlightened! You have an incredible site and plan to pass it along to those I know will appreciate it. I would appreciate any Supreme correspondence! eddie1207@yahoo.com

Tony: You may or may not have seen my web site (Diana Ross: Supreme Being) but I am a big fan of ALL Supremes and I am delighted to find your pages. With all the news on La Ross lately it is wonderful to see something new on The Supremes past and present and I truly hope you keep up the wonderful work.

I think you have done an excellent job creating that 70's Supreme website. I love the songs and I have always wondered what some of the words were. I am amazed to see so much interest in the Supremes of the seventies. I have realized that Scherrie Payne has to be most talented of the trio. She is a songwriter and she plays musical instruments. I love Scherrie. She is another sister from Detroit. Freda is also my favorite. You have done a great job with this site. The interest is still there and we loyal fans cannot thank you enough.

Thanks for making me happy.

I think The Supremes were always very good, talented and the fact that Motown reglected them after Diana Ross left really didn't make sense, but they should know that the fans and the world want more Supremes and what are they going to do about it. Keep singing girls for all of us.

Loved it...I was treated like roalty by Mary at a recent performance in Naples, Fla. She allowed me in her suite and made sure that I was escorted backstage on the arm of her beautiful backup singer, Karen. She had a chair placed directly in front of the stage for me. After her incredible performance she took me backstage and we took several pictures. She is just like you would imagine, beautiful and very generous. I left knowing that I had made friends with the legendary performer. drew

I absolutely loved the Supremes 70's website. I was raised on Diana Ross and The Supremes thanks to my grandmother (I'm 22, by the way), and I just discovered last summer that there was more than just that lineup. Within the past 7 months, I bought Supremes 70's on CD and I completely ate it up...and still am. Thanks for the lyrics of the songs I didn't know completely. I give your website a billion thumbs up. Tony, Absolutley great site!!! I love the sound recordings you have!!! I was wondering though, where can I get a copy of T.C.B.?? on video?? Alot of other fans want big bucks and I don't think thats fair. What happens if you don't have the cash? A Supremes fan shouldn't have to go without. I've been waiting since I was 18 to get this video and here I am 26 and all I've gotten is the run-around and screwed out of hundreds of dollars! Can you help me? A fan forever, James E-mail me at bink104@hotmail.com if you can help. Thanks!

Editor's Note:
Hi James: Thank you for your Guest Book comments. Regarding T.C.B. on video, as you know, at this time it is not legitimately available, although, as you noted, bootleg copies exist. From my understanding, there were copyright problems that inhibited the commercial sale of this tv special. I have no idea if it will ever be available on video. I do have a suggestion, however. Writing campaigns have often been helpful in the past. I would suggest that you write to three companies:
1.) VH1. They advertise that their station "preserves the music" and they often broadcast old music specials. If they were to air it, you could get a first-rate copy by videotaping it. Trust me, these stations listen to their viewing audience and if they get a big enough response and can also get the rights to air it, they will.
2.) Motown. The problem here is that the Motown of today is so vastly different from the Motown of yesterday that  the new crop doesn't seem to be as dedicated to their archives. Try writing to them anyway. Kedar Massenburg is now the new president and perhaps you can at least get a response. Motown has often responded to me by letter or by phone regarding my CD requests.
3.) NBC. NBC originally aired the special in conjunction with Motown and George Schlatter productions. Try writing to the New York offices; not your local NBC station. As for obtaining a bootleg copy, I have no idea what the fans are offering. I have not purchased any bootleg tapes, video or audio, and my advice there is "buyer beware." I would much rather have a broadcast-quality tape than to pay for a garbled mess. I also want a copy of the Smokey Robinson Special that featured The Supremes (Jean, Cindy, Mary). Sadly, this will probably never air as Motown didn't even bother to release a soundtrack album at the time. Good luck with your quest.

I love the Supremes, and the many websites I have found, including yours has truly been the best thing to find on the internet. However, as much as can be found on the group and many of it's members, I find little on Florence Ballard. I own both singles she recorded for ABC records, and would love to see all four sides included on your lyrics and music clip samples site. Without Flo we could not have come to know the Supremes as we do today, or Diana Ross. Thanks.
